Research Teams won Euréka Student Scientific Research Award

The Student Scientific Research Award – Euréka is a prestigious award for nationwide students’ excellence in scientific research and creativity. In 2021, the Euréka Award attracted the participation of 132 colleges, universities and institutes from 32 provinces and cities nationwide with more than 1,250 research projects of 5,900 students and more than 2,000 supervisors. The University of Danang - University of Science and Education had 23 projects submitted to the Award, including 07 projects from research teams of Chemistry Department. All the projects have gone through several selection rounds and 02 projects have proudly won the Consolation Prizes. The winning projects are: the project on "Designing widgets integrated in Microsoft Office on Visual Basic for Application to support the process of teaching and learning chemistry at high school " by the student group including Tran Van Trung Hai; Vu Hoai Thuong; Le Thi Huyen Tram (17SHH) and Hoang Huong Linh (18SHH) (the supervisor: MSc. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, Faculty of Chemistry); the project on "Synthesis of ZIF67/rGO and its application to modify electrode to investigate the electrochemical properties of metal ions Hg(II), As(V)" by the student group including Pham Le Ngoc Minh; Le Huu Bao Thach; Pham Thi Thanh Thao (18SHH) (the supervisor: Dr. Vo Thang Nguyen, Faculty of Chemistry)
Through the research projects, the research groups have demonstrated the sense of responsibility towards society and the civilized attitude of the young generation; the ability to grasp the problem and update of the social situation quickly. These will be possible solutions to spread values to the community and the foundation and motivation for lecturers and students to conquer the higher goals lying ahead.
Associating training with scientific research is an important task that the deparment has paid special attention to for the theoretical development, update of new knowledge and practicality. Scientific research products are also considered an attraction for training and international cooperation, contributing to the brand and reputation of not only the Department bu also the University.
