The 301st AUN-QA programme assessment at the University of Da Nang – University of Education and Science – The programme of Chemistry Teacher Education, from 31/10-4/11/2022

From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the University of Education and Science - University of Danang together with the Southeast Asian University Network (ASEAN University Network - AUN) will conduct an external assessment according to AUN-QA standards via online form for 3 undergraduate training programs including: Chemistry Teacher Education, Mathemetics Teacher Education and Philology Teacher Education.
AUN-QA is AUN's specialized network for higher education quality assurance, established with the mission of promoting quality assurance activities at higher education institutions, improving the quality of tertiary educationand cooperating with domestic and foreign organizations. AUN currently has 30 members, including Vietnamese members who are Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho University.
In 2021, in order to meet the training quality according to the vision and mission, the University of Education and Science - UD has been allowed to register and will undergo International Quality Accreditation from October 31 to November 4, 2022 for three programme, including Chemistry Teacher Education. To prepare for the process of programmes assessment according to AUN-QA standards, the Faculty of Chemistry has established a dedicated AUN Team to carry out related work. The self-assessment team operates under the direction of the Board of Directors and receives direct instructions from the Head of the Faculty of Chemistry. The Department of Testing and Quality Assurance also offers advice, training and support during the preparation.
Participating in AUN-QA testing will bring value:
• The first beneficiaries of this program's accreditation are students.
• Students will benefit from a quality training program that is continuously improved in all aspects such as curriculum framework, various courses, academic staff and teaching activities, student support activities.
• Other stakeholders such as lecturers, employers will all benefit. Specifically, employers have the opportunity to use higher quality human resources.
• Lecturers will teach for good students, have chance to carry out research activities and teaching activities in an international environment, especially with more opportunities to exchange and learn with international partners and also self-fulfill to improve their professional skills and foreign language skills (English) to meet the program's requirements.
The Faculty of Chemistry would like to inform all the Staff, Colleagues, Employers, Leaders of Units, Alumni, PhD Students, Graduate Students and Students majoring in Chemistry Teacher Education and in other programmes inside and outside the University and would like to recieve the support and contribution from all the stakeholders so that the Accreditation activities can be successful.
