The student's scientific research activity is one of the important tasks of the faculty, aiming at improving the quality of training and helping students to become acquainted with the method of scientific research. Therefore, the faculty has created favourable conditions to encourage staff and students to participate in this activity. Student scientific research activity of the Faculty of Chemistry has been well evaluated and achieved many high awards in the contests for student scientific at higher levels.
Student scientific research conference is held annually. This is an activity that brings many practical benefits to students, namely:
- Consolidating, summarizing, and developing the obtained knowledge;
- Being more enthusiastic and interested in learning;
- Practicing thinking methods, presentation methods and initially building independent working and researching skills;
- Being more confident in life;
- Equipping scientific research skills for students after graduation.
Students' scientific research topics may be part of the scientific research project led by academic staff, or independent scientific research topics proposed by each student or a group of students and performed under the guidance of lecturers and graduate students of the Faculty of Chemistry.
Scientific research's results found by students of the Faculty of Chemistry - UEd- UD have achieved promising success. Many students won high awards at the University of Da Nang. Some of the students' scientific research projects were later developed into good quality graduation projects, university-level and UD-level science projects with many practical applications.
After winning the Scientific Research Prize, some students decided to study in developed countries such as Belgium, Germany, Korea, Taiwan, ...
Faculty of Chemistry always considers scientific activities of students as a professional activity which has great significance for training, discovering talents, developing students' capacity, and also motivating teaching staff to always update and improve themselves. Therefore, the faculty always encourages and supports enthusiastic students and lecturers and has a practical reward policy for students who have achievements in scientific research.
